Good with beef, pigeon, duck, goose, mutton and ewe's cheeses. Excellent with dumplings with duck ragoût.
Located in the Rosso Piceno Superiore DOC area between the towns of Acquaviva Picena and Monteprandone in the Campo delle Mura district.
70% Montepulciano and 30% Sangiovese, with low number of buds per hectare.
Average mix with limestone elements.
Fermentation took place in tanks with a prolonged maceration of the grape pulp, followed by refinement for a year in oak barrels and barrique. The maturation in bottle lasts for a year in an air-conditioned warehouse.
Intense ruby red colour with maroon tints, ethereal and spiced bouquet, with hints of violet and red berry fruit. Soft and persistent on the palate.
Store away from the light at a maximum temperature of 18-20°C. It performs best following a lengthy period of aging in the bottle.
