Description
Open the bottle an hour before pouring. This is a solidly-built wine, a perfect companion for red meat and game, or to serve with cheeses at the end of the meal.
Vineyard region
Tomasi plot, located upstream of the Agricultural Institute
Grapes
Cabernet Franc, Merlot.
Soil
Reddish-brown soil, with mixed mineral content: mainly calcareous-dolomitic, with sand and siltstone of local input, mica schist and quartziferous porphyry of glacial origin. Abundant skeleton soil, calcareous, fine loamy, sub-alkaline reaction, low organic matter content and with medium-low cationic exchange capacity.
Winemaking
Traditional red wine vinification process with 15-day maceration at 25° C. Refined for 15 months in French oak barrels and for a further 12 months in the bottle.
Tasting notes
Intense ruby red colour; well-rounded, complex aroma, with a hint of spice and berries; elegant flavour, soft, lingering, balanced.
Alcohol gradation
14% vol.
Preservation
Store away from the light at a maximum temperature of 18-20° C.
